No date has been set for the indictment of Zardari and Faryal Talpur.

No date has been set for the indictment of former President Asif Ali Zardari and his Faryal Talpur in the false accounts case, a court of responsibility has just marked their presence and the judicial proceedings have been postponed Thursday because of the change of judges.

Raja Jawad Abbas, trial judge, said the case would be heard by the judge on 19 September. He extended the provisional detention of the siblings by 14 days.

The court also reserved its verdict on the facilities made available to Zardari in prison.

The co-chair of the PPP was arrested on June 10 for alleged involvement in the money laundering case. Talpur was arrested after four days. They are also under investigation in the Park Lane case.

The money laundering case refers to embezzlement of 4.4 billion rupees. NAB accused Zardari and Talpur of holding shares in the Zardari Group, a company that had received a portion of the hijacked funds.

Park Lane Estate, on the other hand, is a real estate company based in Karachi. The anti-graft watchdog had opened an investigation against Zardari and his son, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, accused of illegally transferring forest land to the company in collusion with government officials. Bilawal received a blank letter in the case on June 12.
